Les

Creative Consultant

Les Patin is a public relations professional who has partnered with an array of people and companies to bridge business with communication and seek the true voice of a brand. In the three years of professional experience, he has worked with non-profits, government agencies, public figures, small businesses and corporations in an effort to understand the varying degrees of communication and the roles a public relations professional plays in each.

“I’m into building bridges with the strongest rope you got. I like the way language can wrap around an emotion and serve it hot or cold. I like a well-placed metaphor and a rough draft with a good set of legs. I like the way magnetism and energy move through every connection like electricity. I’m in the business of words, and I love to advocate a strong brand. A communicator who talks too much (go figure), I like to think PR is more about connection than anything else.”

Learn More About Les

Les graduated from Louisiana State University in May of 2012 with his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Public Relations and minors in both English and Business Administration. While at LSU, Les led a PR group comprised of his peers to create a campaign plan for Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge (FRGBR) and execute a public relations plan as well as an annual fundraising event for the Baton Rouge Alcohol and Drug Center (BRAADC).

Les has worked with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission for three years—first as an intern, then as a contract employee—developing social media platforms and furthering their messages through email newsletters. He also worked with Project Runway All-Stars winner Anthony Ryan Auld to assist in social media and communications efforts. Les has been working at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation for two years in integrated marketing, growing his professional skills with everything from social media marketing to media relations. He officially joined The Wellness Studio, LLC in June of 2014.

Les is a member of the Baton Rouge Social Media Association (BRSocMe), the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) and the Public Relations Association of Louisiana (PRAL).

As a professional counselor, I believe my work to be a series of extraordinary opportunities to build relationships where authentic change and growth can begin and flourish. Above all, to me, being your counselor means accepting and respecting you just as you are without judgment or evaluation. Teaching practical skills and assisting in positive behavior changes while encouraging self-exploration and meaning of life are also crucial to my approach as a counselor. My function as your counselor is to assist you in setting and reaching personal goals, reducing unnecessary suffering, and flourishing in the life you want to live. I work with both adolescents & adults and most of my experience comes from working with college aged individuals. I enjoy facilitating individual, couples, family, & group therapy. The presenting issues I treat include but are not limited to: anxiety & depressive disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, adjustment disorders, LGBT issues, sexual identity, family systems issues, marital problems, social skills deficits.

Mallory McCann

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and I provide services to individuals with various presenting concerns. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in 2015. My most recent employment experience was with Behavioral Health Group (BHG) in New Orleans, LA, where I worked with adults struggling to overcome their opiate addictions. Together, my clients and I developed ways to decrease use and harmful behaviors, and subsequently increase their quality of life. I am happy to assist individuals that are struggling with substance use, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, women’s issues, and more. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based techniques when helping clients learn healthy coping skills to achieve a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. I strive to reduce the stigma in society that often appears when discussing mental health concerns and seeking services. Each client deserves a collaborative, accepting environment to discuss goals, growth, empowerment, change, and overall satisfaction with their day-to-day lives. I welcome the opportunity to help others forge a fulfilling future.
